Karen and I decided to take in some fireworks tonight, but we weren’t sure who (other than downtown) was going to be showing them. As a result, we took in half each of about five different displays. We saw the Chicago display, the Cicero display, and a few others that we weren’t even sure of the location.
Of course, all of this fireworks watching comes with a price! Our total time spent driving, looking for parking, walking through parks, finding places to sit… was absolutely nothing. One thing I’ll miss about this apartment when I’m gone is that wonderful 40-ft. high kitchen window facing the East. We actually cooked bacon and hot dogs (in turns, of course) while we watched!
