Haha, yes, I think you can skip some of those spam posts that people build up, they don&#039;t have an override lock on your time.</description>

Seriously, though, I only click through to &lt;10% of all the articles that pass through my Reader instance. It might be slightly above average for the few title-only feeds I subscribe to, but I don&#039;t bother unless I&#039;m missing important bits by not opening the original item. And I skim most stuff, regardless of source. If I find that I&#039;m not reading a feed at all, then I&#039;ll drop it. (As I think I did to Ted ages ago: I like Ted, but his interests and my interests seem to overlap so little as to make my reading his shared items an exercise in mutual disinterest.)

I operate on the assumption that other people do more or less the same thing, reading the things that sound interesting and skimming or outright skipping the stuff that isn&#039;t.</description>
